1) MANGO LASSI FOR BABIES (12+ Months)
Best mango: Use sweet, non-fibrous mango like Chaunsa, Anwar Ratol, or Alphonso — less sour = no need for sugar.
Baby-Safe Recipe (12-18 months):
Ingredients:
1/4 cup ripe mango pulp (fresh, no string) — about 2 tbsp
2 tbsp fresh homemade full-fat yogurt
1/2 cup boiled & cooled water
1 small pinch cardamom powder (optional, after 12 months)
NO sugar, NO salt, NO ice
Method:
Wash, peel mango, cut — make sure no fiber strings
Blend mango pulp till super smooth (strain if fibrous)
Add yogurt + water, blend again — make it thin like milk
Add cardamom if baby likes flavor
Serve immediately at room temp
How much:
12-18 months: 1/4 cup (60ml) max, 2x/week
18+ months: 1/2 cup (120ml), 3x/week
Tip for USA moms on your site: Use frozen mango pulp without sugar if fresh not available.
When NOT to give: If baby has diaper rash, loose stools from mango, or mango allergy (rash around mouth) — stop.
2) APPLE LASSI FOR BABIES (10+ Months — Easiest to Digest!)
Apple lassi is even safer than mango — less allergy, good for digestion.
Baby-Safe Recipe (10+ Months Version):
Ingredients:
1/4 small apple (red apple, sweet)
2 tbsp fresh homemade yogurt
1/2 cup boiled water
NO sugar, NO salt
Method:
Peel apple completely, remove seeds
Steam or boil apple till very soft (5 min) — important for babies under 12 months, raw apple is hard to digest
Cool it, then blend steamed apple to smooth puree
Add yogurt + water, blend again to thin lassi
Serve lukewarm, not cold
For 12+ months: You can use raw sweet apple (if very soft) — but steamed is still best till 15 months.
How much:
10-12 months: 2-3 small spoons, very thin, 1x/week (only if baby already eats apple + yogurt separately)
12-18 months: 1/4 cup (60ml), 2x/week
18+ months: 1/2 cup (120ml)
Benefits: Apple lassi helps constipation — yogurt + apple fiber.

3 Golden Rules for ALL Baby Lassi (Add this to your blog post):
Always thin: Baby lassi should be like watery milk, not thick like adult lassi
Always fresh: Make fresh, use within 30 min — don’t store in fridge for baby
One new food at a time: If baby never had mango before, give mango puree alone for 3 days first, THEN mango lassi
